About Me
I was born in the most welcoming city in the world, Welkom. Right in the middle of South Africa. Moved into the mining mecca of fallen ground Carletonville and then to Johannesburg. Lived all over the country and developed a love for all things South African, historically and culturally. Worked as a Horticulturist and specialised as in Turf Grass Management building sport fields in previously disadvantaged communities. Was involved in building and running facilities for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. I have travelled this country from side to side, spent time in the neighbouring countries and have a burning desire to share my knowledge and love with anyone who wants to know more about the most beautiful country in the world. I am a Nationally Accredited Guide who currently works mostly in the Cape Town region, Cape Winelands, The Garden Route and the Namaqualand/ Cedarberg region. As a Horticulturist I especially love the West Coast in flower season taking time to share the explosion of colour, fragrance and floral wonder with an appreciative audience. I served in the SADF and attained the rank of Corporal. This has instilled in me a love of all things military and I have developed a love for battlefields and the history of our military achievements. One of my passions is the multi layered faith of this country. I love to share this with visitors and am able to take them to churches, mosques, synagogues and various temples that form the backbone of our constitutional right, of religious tolerance and guaranteed freedom of worship.
