I'm at a cultural guide as well as a mountain guide with 15 years experience in the Western Cape and Cape Town areas. I host Glamtrails as well as De Kruis Karoo get away. Author of two books in the past 10 years. Cape Town and her mountains are my passion and love to share what amazing gems they have to offer guests any time of the year. There is something for everyone. Wildlife to a very complex history. Beauty in all forms, everywhere you look. I will take you to all the Gems I have discovered.
Standard Tours
Lions Head Hike
This is Cape Town’s most popular walk. There are 4 ladders of which two are compulsary! It is a 3 hour tour with 360º views of the City way below Atlantic Ocean and the iconic Table Mountain as you climb. You will need a head for heights. You will have had to have been in Cape Town for at least 24hrs after flying in, before taking this trail on, for your own safety. The views from the top are worth every step it takes to reach the summit. Your leave of fitness needs to be that of a regular hiker(twice a month you go for a walk longer than 1:30hrs. The plant life is also something to admire as you climb this amazing mountain right in the middle of the city.
Table Mountain and/or a hike
Take the cable car up and down and then hike to the highest point and walk the full length of this iconic mountain. A 2 hour walk will get you tothe heist point in the Cape Peninsula and on a clear day you will see all the way up the west coast as well as all the way to Cape Point. See the city in a way most will never get to.
